    – Alpha Petroleum ditches WilPhoenix

    Following revisions to the project schedule the Letter of Award from Alpha Petroleum Resources Limited did not result in an agreed contract for Awilco Drilling’s WilPhoenix.

    – Saipem Awarded a New 750 Million USD Contract

    Saipem has been awarded a new contract in the onshore E&C sector worth approximately USD 750 million. Work involves engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning under Package 3 “Offsite Facilities” in the framework of the development of the Duqm Refinery situated near the coast in the north east of Oman.

    – Fire extinguished at Pernis oil refinery

    Shell confirmed a “small fire” which occurred during maintenance on a furnace at its 404,000 barrels-per-day Pernis oil refinery in the Netherlands had been extinguished on Friday.

    – Chrysaor chooses Tenaris for North Sea operations

    Tenaris secured its first Long-Term Agreement with Chrysaor, for the provision of OCTG casing and tubing and associated services. The 3-year contract includes Rig Direct®, a unique service model that includes a wide array of expert services that support customers in every stage of their operations, from string design to running assistance onsite.

    – Neptune Energy completes acquisition of Engie E&P

    Neptune Energy Group has announced the completion of the acquisition of Engie E&P International SA. The transaction sees Neptune become an international independent E&P company across the North Sea, North Africa and Southeast Asia

    – Statoil awards $481.34m contract for Johan Castberg topsides

    Statoil has awarded a $481m contract for delivery of the topside modules for the FPSO on the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea to engineering and construction services company Kvaerner.

    The scope of the contract includes building a total of ten modules, a flare boom, and central pipe rack.

    – Sparrows Group awarded three-year crane and deck services contract by BP in Angola

    BP has awarded Sparrows Group a three-year contract to manage crane operations and maintenance, and deck services off the coast of Angola.

    The contract covers four cranes utilised on two Floating Production Offloading and Storage (FPSO) vessels, the Greater Plutonio and the PSVM, located in Blocks 18 and 31 respectively, which are situated 160km north-west of Angola’s capital Luanda.
