      Oligopolistic firms (5 fossil fuel companies control the majority of production) can hold down industry output (shutter refinery capacity) , charge a higher price, and divide up the profit among themselves, it is called collusion

      Question was how do we get back to 60 – 70 dollar oil 🛢. STOP fighting the oil industry tooth and nail. We are going to need petrochemical products for many years to come.

      Quick lets destroy all oil gas and coal infrastructure so we can sit in the dark and consider how we will build all these amazing 'green' projects without energy. What good is saving the environment if we all freeze and starve to death?

      There's something we all can do to bring these prices down but it will take money no lie and it don't involve the government and menny jobs would be made and our economy would be stronger and we would not have to get Rid of gas and way more stuff being sold plus there would be less of a problem with it plus it would Be a safer and cleaner more injoyable country plus we could pay more of our debt I can prove it with spending around 6 million dollars and working at it for around 6 months to a year in my community if the government wouldn't stop me . It would make a way better brighter future I mis below $1.99 a gallon I make between 20 and 40 dollars a hour at any given time all by my self no employer I have done a lot of different line of work for almost 20 years and seen how things get done all my life and bin meny places from coast to coast and I work hard even when people tell me to go get something to drink and get out of the sun from 90 to 103 and high humidity for days straight I have a remedy for this problem and more than just that

      Sooo tell me the reason gas is so high is because of Russia. Well most likely we will never get our gas from Russia because of Putin. So now we will have to suffer because of greedy oil companies. This is so ridiculous. Everyone should start taking the bus and stop buying gas.

      Greedy oil companies. Once again the rich get richer off the poor people. They always find a way to attack the poor and never ever give us a break. Because of the price of gas everything else goes up. We never get a break. Things only get worst.

      Due to the pandemic gas companies lost a lot of money. Now we are coming out of the pandemic people are traveling more gas PRICES in are through the roof and still climbing. No end insight and no returning. It seems every 3 days the price increase. Now we have a gas pandemic. When will things improve we go from 1 pandemic into another.

      Why is anyone acting upset about the gas prices?? Biden said repeatedly he was going to stop oil production and eliminate the industry during his campaign and YOU voted for him. What did you expect to that to look like?? Lol..thank yourself for this crap.

      Government can increase supply. That means allowing me them to drill more and open new pipelines. Trump did it, Biden could if he wanted to. Your political party not only hates you, they want to destroy your economic future
