In this video, we are going to talk about the basics of blockchain as a technology. On its most basic level, the blockchain can be understood as a new kind of database, at least this is its original design. What is different about this database is that it is distributed. Digital databases have been around for awhile now but until recently they have been designed to centralize information on one computer or within one organization. The blockchain though uses a distributed network of computers to maintain a shared database.

How is it guaranteed that the blockchains will remain secure as quantum computing decryption capabilities will become available to everyone from the cloud? It won't be possible to modify the contents of a block without altering the hash of every subsequent block, but it would be possible for anyone to read the contents of a block.
With time, isn't the blockchain database going to become huge, thereby inducing drastic delays to access block information?
Hello, if a block's hash is dependent of the previous block hash in the first block of the chain how do we generate the hash for that block???
