What are the benefits and risks of using currency technologies such as Bitcoin and Blockchain in the world’s poorest areas? How does the pervasion of mobile telephones and other technology aid this? What are the concerns about Bitcoin and other e-currencies for everyone? Raised in a rural area of Nepal, Kshetri is now a professor of management at the Bryan School (UNCG) and a research fellow at Kobe University. He focuses on modern technologies’ role in fighting poverty and the application of Bitcoin and Blockchain to help the world’s poorest people.
