Michael Burry (of The Big Short) has recently released an interesting series of tweets saying “you don’t know how short I am”. But interestingly, his 13F filing showed that Burry added to his stock portfolio, which now includes stocks such as GEO Group, CoreCivic and Qurate Retail. So what’s Michael Burry’s thesis for the end of 2022 and going into 2023?

If we are being honest. Michael Burry has only been right once…
<<The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies>>
Got laid off, Lost a lot of money in the FTX financial collapse, can't invest in the financial market and I might sell the rest of my venture capital investments to deal with the situation. How do you make money?
Very creative intro
He's no longer short Tesla….but he should be; was his comment..

Did he come out with another tweet saying he's not short? Honestly…who cares about this cryptic fool
It's good Machel burry's is on it and I pray it goes home we'll pleased 😇
America must stop fooling around as soon as possible.
The US should stop raising interest rates as soon as possible.
Raising interest rates is not a good idea from any point of view, but rather harmful.
It is an illusion to think that raising interest rates will reduce inflation.
Inflation is an overall problem that has accumulated over the past time, and it is a problem that needs to be addressed one by one in order of priority.
The most important issue among them is still productivity.
Raising interest rates, however, does not solve the problem, but rather exacerbates it.
Look at China, for example.
China is now going against the trend of raising interest rates and, as a result, recovering its economy.
Furthermore, after realizing that zero corona was not helpful, they changed their direction.
It is very important to correct mistakes as quickly as possible.
The reason why the United States has been able to maintain its hegemony in the world is because it was an easy environment to gain trust and receive investment from investors from all over the world.
However, some foolish people in the United States are ruining their hard-earned hegemony.
Does the US want to give up its hard-earned hegemony to China?
keep in mind
You should always remember the times when you were hungry.
The more successful you feel, the more important it is to remember the times when you were hungry.
Never commit the foolishness of confusing causes by looking only at superficial phenomena and indicators.
It can be a path to self-destruction.
Listen to the wise Nobel laureate, economist.
An interest rate hike is not an appropriate countermeasure right now.
Above all, American politicians must wake up and do their best to revitalize the economy and improve productivity.
Raising interest rates is the worst way to prove that they are incompetent.
Raising interest rates is not the best option, it is the last option.
Fix the barn before the cow is lost.
And if you realize that side effects or problems occur when you choose one, it is wise to choose the one with fewer side effects or problems.
No matter which choice you make, it is impossible to be completely free of problems or side effects.
The zero corona abolition is a good example.
Abolition of zero corona may increase corona infections, but it is a better option overall.
It is to promote economic revitalization by abolishing the zero corona policy while simultaneously developing vaccines and treatments.!
Historically, governments primary function is to facilitate, create and cater towards commerce and businesses. Over the centuries that has distilled into capitalism.
Capitalist drawbacks are offset by placing it's burdens not on corporations but on tax payers. Imprisoning people is a viable commerce so government must be seen to facilitate it.
That's just the way it is.🤷
Interesting 13Fs don't require disclosing short positions… seems like it's missing half the equation
Great videos. You shouted out a couple other Channels in their video.
Is there a short list of channels similar to yours that you recommend to learn more and keep up to date on the market?
"If you want to achieve greatness stop asking for permission." _Anonymous
You can't time the market reliably over any significant time. You have no idea of how dumb trying to time it actually is. Don't play that game. You can lose everything shorting a market that has positive expected returns of 8-12% per year. Buying and holding an index fund has crushed active mutual fund management. If the pros can't do it, why can you, even if you have less resources? Dunning-Kruger effect.
Good vid. Wish you offered some views on some Oz stocks. Please!
I would assume that part of Burry's in and out method is that he knows that his filings do have an influence on the market. If he sells, price will eventually come down. He can pick back up next quarter and continue the climb
Thanks bud for keepin us financially Educated ! Regardless of how bad it gets on the economy , I still make over $ 13,000 every single week
The technical aspect of trading aids the key to understanding the financial market believe me with enough capital to engage in the financial market one could have financial freedom
Amazing video and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn, I'm so happy 😊I have been earning $ 60,000 returns from my $7,000 investment every 12days.
You didn’t cover much about QRTEA. It’s one of the Benjamin graham’s play by leveraging debt. Also, it has 30% cashflow yield which is dirt cheap.
burry man crush
I'm as short as a gold bar
You have no idea how long i am
????
Background music needs toning down in first min while you are talking
said Bill Gates.
“Success is the worst teacher ever.”
Biden's success has many positive elements, but on the other hand, it has caused many problems.
Examples are inflation and interest rate hikes.
Biden and the US Congress should no longer delay inflation and interest rate hikes, but address them immediately.
Interest rate hikes must be stopped immediately, and all-round efforts must be made to improve productivity.
In addition, efforts should be made to resolve the supply chain crisis caused by the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Do not give in to Putin's threat of nuclear weapons and face it with courage…
Sounds to me like Burry is investing in a growth in shop lifting.
To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough. I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it's the best time to get started on the market.
I keep Saying…I Love Casandra…😐
My primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I know the risks of short term gains are much greater but if well managed one'd make a killing, am I wrong
Nice intro😂
Love the videos keep up the good work. Burry is pretty irritating He tweets obscure and wrong predictions constantly under the handle “Cassandra b.c” unlike buffet if you want to be considered an oracle you cannot give yourself the title. Makes me think he just got extremely lucky in 2007. IMO his predictions get way too much attention. Disclaimer I am not a millionaire just some guy that sees way too much Burry content in my algorithm. Again love the videos you’re probably the best investment content creator out there
Thanks for recommending The Patient Investor – you guys ought to do that kind of thing more for each other. Years on YouTube and the algorithm has NEVER alerted me to his existence before!
I’m sick of Burry.. if you say crash every day of your life, you will eventually be right once in a while, so then you can pretend how smart you are..
why 13F does not require reporting short positions? only long positions?
Yo. Love the music on this. And huge leap in production quality.
Why did you feature Patrick Bateman as the cover art? I met him when i worked at P&P quirky fella
Put simply, his equity portfolio is quite likely just a hedge on his much larger shorts at this time.
