“It’s life-or-death survival for us to fight for our land.”
For nearly four years, this women-led Indigenous group has been fighting the Trans Mountain Corporation to keep a new pipeline out of their ancestral territory. Using tiny mobile homes, these activists travel across the region, defending their land and their culture while protesting violence against Indigenous women that has been reported along pipeline construction routes. The fight to get their land back it’s been a centuries old struggle for Canada’s Indigenous communities.
