Job openings declined in January, as Fed Chair Jerome Powell prepares the market for more rate hikes. But what are we missing? Maggie Lake is joined by Doomberg, editor of the self-titled Substack newsletter, to break down the action unfolding across the energy sector — specifically in coal, LNG, and nuclear power.
Plus, we’ll hear from geopolitical expert Peter Zeihan on why Russia will never be involved in the global supply chain and how that could impact Germany. Check out that entire series here: https://rvtv.io/3yfCpBR and find more of Doomberg’s work here: doomberg.substack.com

Hydrogen is a joke. It leaks from pipes, has low volumetric value, and leaks are hard to detect.
“Life nourishing nuclear energy” 😂 😂 sure buddy. Nuclear waste half-life is 200,000 years. This is not life nourishing. And nice attack on anyone opposed to your view. Weak.
Great interview! God bless, Silence DoGood, MBA

This chicken is amazing. Thank you
And yet i work with Indian I.T. outsourcers and they are 98% shit.
Unreasonable stubborn blame shifting thickies, almost to a man/woman.
The get used because they are cheap on a per hour basis. Thats the only reason.
Hydrogen is a battery.
Its also a battery that is 50% as efficient round trip as a lithium ion battery.
This is so obvious it hurts my head when i talk to hydrogen proponents.
Mr. Chicken , i will sell you to the KFC
Doomberg is my favorite carnival barker
An extraordinary discussion. Knowledgible and pertinent. Well done. Thank you.
Doomberg always has something thoughtful and interesting to say. I suggest everyone go and subscribe to his Substack – it's well worth the (low) cost of admission!
Looks like there is actually a green chicken in the coal mine rather than a canary
The green bird is wicked smart !

Is the bird Michael Malice?
If anyone from Doomberg reads these comments, please ask the Green Chicken to speak a bit more slowly and enunciate a bit more clearly. When he/she/it speaks quickly he/she/it is hard to understand. I assume you do actually want the audience to understand what is said.
Appreciate Doonberg’s nuance vs Zeihan’s raging overconfidence that he knows what the future holds with certainty.
We're living in scary times when a green chicken has more common sense than most governments.
Economic investigator Frank G Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 still watching this very informative content cheers Frank
Thank you for having doomie comment on zeihan! Now we just need Jeff snider to chat with doomie about macro!
Zeihan's a crank. He's just telling folks in the US what they want to hear.
Well said about nuclear power 😊
I wish I could take a talking green chicken seriously
Carbon is a building block of life. Carbon cleans the air of benzenes, and other elements. Your Grandchildren want and deserve their carbon.
The political machine is a corrupt one.
The world is not collapsing, the economy is.
Read and publish the Nuremberg Code.
The warm winter saved Nat Gas – that can change. Who really wants to live in China – they will have low to no immigrants and their birth rate creates a population descent that cannot be changed.
Doomberg is the most sensible commentator out there
Is Doomberg Michael Malice?
I always love Maggie.
And Doomberg is my secret love chicken.
That's a chicken on the ball. Real circus grade.
India's Institute of Tech, Chinese Engineering schools… The numbers are high but I question the quality of intelligence produced by those countries. A lot of times, it's just box checking to meet quotas. They still really have to come to US Universities for the best education. But then again, Biden's Equity executive order is just move into box checking to meet quotas so we'll have to see what happens.
Is doombergs outlook on China strange? It sounds overly bullish to me but they appear to be so spot on with most everything else.
Trillion energy international is drilling every 45 Days and connecting on line $!
This video is a rehash of the status quo. They will be surprises. China will go into into Siberia. If China has an oil University, it's not for drilling in Taiwan. Russia is weak. Taiwan would be very hard to invade with the US Navy & the Japanese Airforce backing up Taiwan.
I thought it was DoomBird.
Is that Michael Malice?
So the image I keep getting in my head is if we cause Russia to collapse, China will annex Siberia making them the US's next door neighbor in the future.
Doomberg is a the king chicken! And Maggie…oh so cute..
It’s interesting the guests claim India is buying Russian oi, refining it to diesel and selling it to the US considering India has a ban on selling refined products. Still an outstanding interview thanks.
If fiat is considered as a virtual representation of energy and energy is the fundamental monetary of all economies. Fossil fuels supply is near permanent decline.
If it goes this way in your life time, it is forever. If it is 90% gone, it is all. "Nuances" are for unproductive losers who cannot grasp the point that matters.
As far as nuclear power… please quit purposely building nuclear power plants on fault lines and natural disaster prone locations… AND halt weather warfare
You only have the guts to put up a picture of a chicken , and sounds like you alter your voice. I don't think I would give your opinion the time of day.
Doomberg's voice sounds like Michael Malice to me
