Hi there Chris, thanks for the videos. Both myself and my wife were running the DCA Futures BTC Fast BOTs, they were slowing clawing back their losses. They have now been closed. This has resulted in both of us loosing money. How could this have prevented. We are both very nervous about ever opening another OKX DCA BOT based on this bad experience. We held onto the BOT knowing that the market would change to the upside and the BOTS had 12 open poisitions to benefit from the up turn. What can be done? Thanks in advance. Also, will the same thing happen with the ETH BOTS they are also trying to claw back into profit?
I had the same problem with my XRP bot, I told you in a reply on an earlier video, got the same explaination and told OKX about it, it should be a bug, but they don't believed me. It is very strange the bot stops when price is going up. Only thing I recommended them is a feature request that I will receive a message when the bot stops, so I can take action. In my case XRP went from .40 to .80 and the bot stopped out at .42, because I lowered the cycle take profit price a few days before, because 6 of 6 were filled, so I was very pissed off about this issue… They told me I had to raise margin, but I think it is because I lowered the cycle take profit price and therefor when taking profit, fees can not be payed from profit, the minimum cycle take profit price will be a different price in time and if it is too low to pay fees, the bot will stop and a new cycle will not start. Maybe it is better when lowering the cycle take profit price to not use the absolute minimum price, but stay a little above it, so bot will not stop.
Here is the response from OKX which makes NO sense. As there was a large amount of funding in the account.

Upon further review, we discovered that the DCA bot was stopped due to a negative PNL. Please kindly check in your 60th cycle there is a negative PNL.
It's important to note that as the bot continues to execute trades, it will gradually deplete the available margin. In the event of losses and negative PNL, the margin will decrease with each filled take profit order.
Please be aware that in the event your bot does not perform well and incurs a negative PnL, it can lead to a situation where the accumulation of unrealized losses, along with fee deductions and funding fees, exceeds the UPL of the current cycle. This can result in insufficient assets to initiate the next cycle, as your margin requirement for the new DCA round is not met.
This is precisely what happened in your case, leading to the forced termination of your bot and the closure you have observed. It is important to note that this outcome is not determined by the price or market movement, but rather by the unsuitability of your bot's condition to continue operating.
