For those who have bought/sold small saas/e-commerce companies

How was your experience?

I’m an engineer and have spent most of my career in the software side of the e-commerce space. I’m looking to diversify some of my assets and have set aside low six figures to purchase a small but established saas or e-commerce store.

• How do you go about finding these deals? The online brokers? Are any of those better than the others?
• I’ve noticed a lot of these deals boast about low time investments, i.e. “only 10 hours of work per week”. How BS are these?
• Any strong opinions on buying versus building? I definitely see building something from scratch as an option too but tbh buying something with all the pieces in place seems worth it.
