I'm posing at Ft Campbell, and I am excited and nervous at the same time about our home purchase. We intend to rent and keep the house as long as possible to profit from it. I just wanted to share because it will
be my first house after nine years in the military, and I'm happy!
Closing on a house today

I hope you set aside $10-15k for repairs, upgrades and unknowns. The first year of ownership can get expensive if you haven’t planned for it.
Great to hear! Keep all records it will help in the long run. Consider airbnb’ing a spare bedroom. Don’t go too crazy on upgrades they often don’t produce the return on investment people are convinced they do.
$1 of prevention saves $10 of maintenance.
Congrats!
