I was involved in a car accident. I was T’d by a car that ran a red light. Of course he said I ran the light but a gentleman that stopped to see if I was alright saw it all and said the other guy definitely ran the light. I was shook up a bit but didn’t feel I needed to go the hospital. This was a month ago and still feel okay. The other insurance co. Seems to be dragging their feet to resolve this. I’m going after them on my own( I didn’t have collision)
I was asked several times at the scene if I wanted to get checked out at the hospital. I said no I’m fine.
Just wondering if it would have been investigated quicker if I did go to hospital. I would never claim injury if not true( bad karma), but it seems the first thing insurance asked is if there were any injuries or if anyone was transported to hospital. So do you think it speeds things up when people get checked out at the ER?
