We really gotta bring back anti-monopoly/anti-trust laws.
Here’s a tax idea: if you buy another company, you have to pay back all the tax breaks it received. Every section 179, every PPP loan forgiveness, every subsidy it received, every dollar the government spent on it to “stimulate the economy”. Because we all know damn well, you’re going to RIF half that company, reversing any goodness that came off those tax breaks.
