I'm a 23M who's constantly looking for problems to solve. However, it seems that every solution I can think of is already being addressed by someone else, or the market is saturated. Hence, the question.

How do you look for problems to start a business?

There are solutions for every problem, you don’t need come up a new one, you just need to come up with a better one šŸ™‚

I want to share one personal experience from my company. I have been working for a small SaaS team for more than 1 year. While doing link exchange or guest posting, there is a pain point, we all just try to do email outreach or sending message from Linkedin to get backlinks. There are lots of websites and agency offer link building service. However there is not a single platform that allow SaaS founders or professionals to do direct link building.

I think everyone who in the industry been suffer from this forever, so 2 month ago, our team finally decide pour our resources to this new website:Ā [https://linktopia.io/](https://linktopia.io/)Ā It is a community link-building for bloggers, entrepreneurs and startup brands to grow domain authority and supercharge website traffic.

Personally, i think this idea is genius and a way better solution than the traditional one.

Think about a problem that u enjoy solving and find people who have that problem and help them solve. When u enjoy it, u will find it easier to be successful. Doesnā€™t mean it will be easy. But when u encounter obstacles it will be easier to face and get through them. If u solve random problems u donā€™t care about then u might or might not enjoy the process. Experiment with this idea!

Yeah, when I started out I felt the way you do. However my latest passion is something that arose with existing products in the market. My sister literally texted me saying she liked an app but it wasnā€™t available in her area.

Later, as I researched, I realized that the existing product basically puts up a paywall to its content, so my idea is differentiated by being in different locations and by being free.

TL;DR you can absolutely build something that others have done. You just need to differentiate yourself from your competitors.

You find problems by working somewhere for a couple years. Then you actually know the business too.

Just think of everyday problems. You are likely to come across at least one. Some of them have solutions that are pretty simple, but no one has invested in integrating them

    9. Your post sounds like you have a problem, to me.

The “solutions” industry is perhaps forty years old. Name the problems we don’t have anymore. Oh bother…

      >And the reason for CRM’s strategic decline will be the growing realization that CRM systems cannot actually fulfill their promise of creating better interactions with customers. In fact, the opposite is true: CRM systems are a primary cause of the disconnect that most companies suffer between their sales, marketing, and customer success teams.

      >Simply put, CRM systems can’t do what companies need them to do.

Maybe just calling yourself “entrepreneur” doesn’t actually turn you into one. What’s the next step — post a newly discovered problem here for commenters to solve for you?

What about the problem of not turning to a news channel from Nickelodeon? [Japanese town uses bodybuilders to provide help in nursing homes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC_XhCYaIZM) Tilt your head back; it should start raining soup in three …two …one.

You can still address those problems where someone else is already addressing them.you just have to add creativity and a few adjustments to be better.[minepeakworks.com](https://minepeakworks.com)

The best ones in my opinion, are the ones that don’t ask for solutions. You know then, that it’s a real problem that they can’t fix themselves.

There are three ways to solve problems: awareness, ability, will.

You can do something that no one else is currently doing (awareness)

You can do something that no else can do better than you (ability)

You can do something that no else is willing to do (will)

With awareness, it all comes down to a niche. What is a market that no one is addressing or is being underserved?

Unfortunately, the best way to know that answer is to be that apart of that market.

Basically I wanted to buy x, no one was selling it, I figured I wasn’t the only one with that desire so I started to start producing it myself.

This is one of the benefits of having a wide social circle (extremely useful for an entrepreneur) because it helps increase your awareness

You can also do something better than everyone else (or something no one else can do).

Doing something that no else can do sounds impossible, but you need to focus on the subjective, not the objective.

For example, things like art (for example music and youtube) have a style that comes from the creator which based on their own life experiences and perspectives could be unique.

Lastly it’s will. This one’s pretty obvious. Things like only fans are good examples but it can also be something extremely tedious (I know some states are a nightmare to do business in but can be a good niche for anyone with enough patience to deal with their bullshit).

A good way to find this niche is to find something that repulses a lot of people but has potential to make a nice profit.

The three forms of power are reputation, resources, relationships so you should look for a business that can offer any of those three (preferably all). It’s not a bad deal to work solely for reputation or relationships at the beginning as those can lead to money (resources) later. In fact, you can use one to obtain the other two.

Get inspired by your own painful moments.

      A bit of my story…

I worked in sales many years ago and being not well-organized person, I usually just took photos of business cards. But it was hard to dial number from a photo. So I created an app for Android that could help me with that.

It was all inspired by my own pain…

Eventually, the app became successful, with 15M+ downloads worldwide, and a huge part of this success was that I translated it into 30+ languages.

But I struggled a lot with translations even with the tools available in the market at that time. None of them suited my needs well.

And so I decided to create a new tool to solve my own pain again. And [localazy.com](http://localazy.com) was born.

I could continue with my other businesses from the past. All of them was somehow related to what I was struggling with. You don’t need a new idea, it can be an improvement of what already exists for a specific niche.
