Background: My buddy just launched a dumpster rental business here in DFW and he is CLEANING UP. He's booked solid and buying more to rent out. That sent me down a Youtube rabbit hole researching the biz and I found a guy that had the idea to introduce surge pricing. You ever heard of this? Keep prices high on the weekend and low during the week to stay booked. My question is 2 part:

    1. Have you ever tried surge pricing in an untraditional way? Maybe in this biz maybe something else?

    2. Any dumpster rental biz owners out there I can talk to? Is this biz as good as I think?

    TIA!

I think I found the perfect business.

Not in the dumpster game. But I just started doing lead gen for a dumpster rental guy. He was making $200k a year after 2 years in business and he was just posting on FB marketplace. I was shocked.

      He charges 325 for a 15 yard dumpster for 24 hours. And 375 for a 20 yard. Add a day for $50 bucks. That’s all I know.

Seems like a pretty solid gig. Drop them off, pick them up, take to dump, and hose them down. This guy doesn’t seem like some business mastermind either lol

    2. But where do you store bins? And you need a hydraulic truck to move them? Doesn’t that require a special license. But loving the idea! If not new construction, people always do Renos.
