So I got a ticket a couple months back for making a rolling stop at a stop sign. I guess I took some terrible advice and tried to get it dismissed by written declaration which obviously didn’t work and it was immediately reported to my car insurance (Toyota). I’m 25 with no previous history and had a full coverage plan for $185 a month which now shot up to $460!!! a month! I have an in person court date on 5/26 where I am going to beg endlessly to complete traffic school but my question is, even if I do get traffic school, is my insurance rate screwed because they already found out about the ticket or will my rate go away when I complete traffic school. I seriously cannot afford 460 a month for insurance to the point that I seriously might have to cancel my insurance and never drive again

State?
Something isn’t adding up. You’re not “surcharged” for a ticket until you’re adjudicated guilty or not guilty for it – for all the insurer knows, the ticket was written in error and would get tossed at the first court date lol
Is the 5/26 date some sort of appeal?
anywho what you really need is some method to get it off of your record entirely. You might be in traffic attorney territory at this point
For a cop to ticket you, you didn’t roll through lol. You ran it.
Rolling through won’t get you a ticket if you actually slow down enough

I’ve never heard of Toyota insurance and I’ve been doing this for awhile. Does Toyota (the car company) offer insurance now as well like Tesla?
