We built an app builder before that is too technical for a non-tech person to adopt, and too simple for a tech-savvy person to customize.
Now that we're revamping, would love to hear your thoughts on how to conduct market research properly to define the right customer personas and the burning painpoints out there.

That’s a 3-6 month project in itself, rather than something you’d get from a comment here. Do you know of any market researchers to sit down and discuss this with properly? This use to be my job prior to becoming an entrepreneur, so I know it’s not a few questions or template exercise.

If there is a place where people do research even close to properly — then this forum is the furthest point from that place. All the word *validation* means in the here and now is falling for your own line of bullshit.
As may become clear from reading; the reason this is such a tough question to answer is nobody pays the slightest attention to any legitimate book or advice on this topic. Then they post here, much as a desperate and distraught child will rush to an adult with a broken toy to fix.
