Hi everyone!! We are in Houston, TX and have AllState renter's. We were unfortunately hit by tornadoes and lost power, water, wifi, cell service, etc. Thursday night. On Saturday, we relented that we would not get power back soon, and we decided to book a hotel (Hyatt), thus I made a claim Saturday. We called and called and no one could answer if a hotel would be covered by insurance, so we booked Saturday and Sunday night on points. Finally, on Monday they said a hotel would be covered by insurance, so now we booked Monday and Tuesday night using cash.

    Has anyone had any luck getting reimbursed for points? I obviously would have booked via cash had I known the hotel would be reimbursed, but no one from claims or escalations would confirm that coverage for me. The hotel is a Hyatt Regency, and they will not give us a monetary value on the receipt for the points. I obviously know how much the night costs since we have paid that as well.

    I am straight out of college and this is my first time ever dealing with anything like a tornado (or insurance outside of auto), so any advice or help on how to handle would be very graciously appreciated and would be so,so much help. Past few days have just been so draining
