It was the right choice for my company and I know they were dogging it and fucking around 75% of the time. It was and is the correct choice. I just can’t help feeling like a piece of shit laying these guys off during a hard time in the world. Two 18 and two adults with kids. I think about their situations and families almost every night. I have been there and I swore when I started my company I wouldn’t put people or make them feel how I felt but here I am no better then my previous bosses.

It’s all the right choices for the survival of the company but I just can’t shake this feeling.

As a company owner, you have to make the right choices for your company. If you have good employees but need to let them go, you can write a recommendation letter or give your contact list the info about the employee. That helps a lot when you lay off good employees. However, if the employee is messing around while costing the company money, you have to let them go. You need to understand that everyone has needs; we can’t employ everyone, and we cannot keep everyone. We train, we provide tools, and everyone knows it’s a hard time. The employee makes a decision every day whether or not to take the opportunity they have and make it or break it. Keep in mind the employees you do have and how by making this hard choice you can continue with your company

    2. It’s a whole lot better than letting the company go bankrupt. Either way they lose their jobs. So it was either lay them off now or randomly close doors one day and lay them off then.
