My monthly operating costs are around $2,300 and I am the sole-owner/operator. Here are my top 4 lessons learned as I have surpassed $100k in revenue:

    1. One step at a time. If I knew how many obstacles I’d face, I would be overwhelmed. My advice is to focus on the tasks at hand and execute well/timely.

    2. Be intentional and kind. Being kind and prioritizing my guest’s experience over profit has gone a long way. I also have asked for Google reviews from nearly all my guests and have over 500 five-star reviews!! Woo!

    3. Automate as much as possible. I have done as much as I can to automate the process from booking guests to monthly bills, etc.

    4. Set goals and reward yourself. An initial goal was to receive 25 reviews, then 50, then 100, etc. I would go out with my gf and treat ourselves to a yummy dinner or etc.

I hope this inspires you. It takes lots of work but take one day at a time!
