I have a bit of an issue here. I’m looking to start an online business that doesn’t require me to pick up the phone(I hate it). Or at least right away I can always hire someone for that down the road. I can do email support easily no problem. By trade I’m a website developer(not software engineer). I’m looking to make monthly recurring revenue so I can have a stable income and travel a bit. Just want you guys to throw some ideas out there for me. Thanks

Hey bro you can look at e-commerce since you won’t be picking up the phone and calling clients or closing deals you can check out maybe dropshipping using shopify the a lot of things you can do dropshipping that are automated and since you’re working it can run automatically as long as you have set it up in the right way of course if you need help feel free to reach out I can point you in the right direction on how you can set up your e-commerce store from from start to finish even doing the market research and everything and see how you can start your way up that road. You can also look at other things like software as a service that are a lot of online businesses you can do it just depends on what you feel like doing or what you’d want to do

Yes – some businesses require little to no phone calls from customers. But if you’re actively avoiding such a trivial matter, that’s a real red flag.

A fun call from a client asking you a genuine question is a hell of a lot more pleasant than getting on the phone to uncomfortably argue with a supplier over an issue that cost you money (and will now cost them money to fix for you). Or picking up the phone to have some online account unbanned for false reasons and they don’t believe you or care. Or picking up the phone to discuss the finer matters of some business concept you frankly don’t understand.

Being in business means using the phone – even if it’s rarely to your customers, it’s a fact of life. Actively avoiding it is like trying to run a race with one leg.

Avoiding things you don’t like isn’t how you get successful. You become successful by specifically doing the things that need to get done, regardless of how you feel about it.
