Hello, so I was in and accident over the winter; the other driver is 100% at fault, but their insurance is bare minimum ($10,000) while my damages are $15,000. My insurance won’t cover me because I was driving Uber at the time, and Liberty Mutual (Uber insurance) says they will only cover $2500 of my damages… the other party’s insurance says that if I settle for the 10,000 then I can’t go after her to sue for damages… but they also say $5,000 is a lot to lose out on…

So I’m just looking for some insights. I definitely need a new car. Should I just settle? Do I even have other options?

Is there more I can do or should I just settle?

    1. Are you sure the Uber insurance is only offering $2,500 of coverage?

I’ve seen that number a bunch as their deductible for collision claims, not the policy limits
