In the near future, I plan to PCS to Fort Moore for schools. When I do, I hope to purchase a house in Georgia. I have been living in Texas for my first duty station and have been enjoying the no income tax. When I buy a house in Georgia, does my home of record change also? Is there a way to keep Texas as my home of record and just pay property tax for the new home in Georgia?

    1. Your home of record never changes. Your state of legal residence can, but if you want to keep TX, then you can as long as you are AD.
