Before anyone asks… yes I've been through multiple avenues to avoid this. Currently on WIC.

Basically went over budget these past few months. Already stopped contributing earlier this year because inflation just wrecked us (family of 4 on E-4 pay).

Simply put, we're going to be in the negative next month when the car and cell phone bill comes in. I want to withdraw at least a couple grand to get us ready to PCS in a few months.

On the TSP website it says you self-certify. It goes on to say "However you must collect and retain documentation which may include invoices, receipts, bills, ect. which supports your need for hardship ". How does this work exactly for negative cash flow? They want entire bank/ credit card statements?

Has anyone gone through a TSP withdrawal for negative cash flow that could help me out?
