This year we became a millionaire household. I started my journey in 2016, my wife started hers in 2019
I have 16 years of service, my wife makes about 20K less than me. We’re currently a DINK household. We live on less than we make, and invest the difference into index funds…that’s about it.
We max our retirement accounts (TSP, 401K, IRAs) and anything we have left goes into a brokerage. The markets have been kind given the 2 recent bear markets, but every overnight success is years in the making.
