Over the last six months nearly every employee has received a job offer through LinkedIn. Nobody's taken it. The pay is basically the same but no flexibility like here and no bonuses so nobody has taken the job plus loyalty and all that. They offered my husband a job managing their company for the entire US.

Is this something sneaky or random? My husband says maybe there is some sort of mole getting information 🤔

What do you think and how would you proceed?

Consider it a trophy for your success. As long as you provide a great working environment and are growing as a company, these poaches won’t prevail. Are you concerned about something specific?

Sounds like a classic case of corporate espionage. I’d investigate if there’s a leak in your company, maybe someone’s feeding them intel. Also, kudos to your team for staying loyal!

They just be attempting to recruit every single person in the area that works in that industry, regardless of what company they work for.

Reaching out on LinkedIn and actively trying to meet face to face are 2 different levels imo.

Pretty normal. They found out about you through all of the potential clients they lost to you, and instead of asking themself about their product or service, or the quality of their training, or their price-point, or anything like that, they’re trying to do the lazy old-school thing of poaching from their competitor.

It’s extremely common with companies that have ‘old-school’ investors. They want to poach talent, but they don’t understand or don’t want to understand that you’ve built a dedicated workforce who respects and trusts you based on fair compensation and great flexibility. They’re hoping that if they keep messaging, they’ll find someone unhappy with their place at your company who’ll jump ship and bring ‘company secrets’ with them, except chances are there is no secret, you treat your people better so they work better, and if they ever successfully poach someone it’ll be someone who didn’t understand or fit in with your company culture, so probably has no idea what the ‘magic’ is.

I see it a lot from very, we’ll say, privileged people.

let one employee move to them but that employee is actually on your side

once they are in.. they sabotage their business from within 😈
