I've been with allstate for homeowners and auto for years. Now my 6 month auto policy renewal is increasing over $130 for no reason, same vehicle. I'm 62 with a clean driving record, no claims, great credit.
Do I actually need 100,000/ 300,000 max coverage living in NYS retired??? or can I get lower coverage?

That must be nice. The cost of insurance is going up and most people are seeing much larger increases.
100/300 is the bare minimum coverage most will recommend. If you have assets, you should probably have higher coverage.
Insurance rates are climbing everywhere. Is $21 a month going to hurt bad enough to necessitate dropping coverage?
I’d be ecstatic about how small the rate hike is.
