In a weird way, doesn’t this kind of put the US economy in China’s hands? All China would need to do is invade Taiwan then the Fed would be powerless to stop a collapse.

They’ll do what they always do and wait to the economic damage, and then lower it. Until you see an economic slowdown really hit hard they won’t be lowering it. They never have. They won’t start now.
