My name is Leigh, an Irish engineer trying to help people with the process of creating startups, and I would love some feedback.
I was recently going trough the process of trying to think of my next startup idea and couldnt help but feel like the process could be better. I was going from reddit, to articles, and searching for problems to solve in isolation.
I feel like there might be space for a platform here, hear me out ! :
A website which:
- lists a bunch of real world problems across a variety of sectors to help people think of their next startup idea.
- Tools to help users with brainstorming solutions to these problems, find potential users of their solutions, plan to validate their idea …
- Forums to allow users to share, discuss, and pitch their ideas or problems.
as people here are likely potential users of such platform, I would love some feedback on this, could this be of help to you ?

Sounds interesting. Curious to know what the format of this website would be – Do they get to pick a problem and see a direct road map for a solution and idea?
Also where do you plan on sourcing the information from?

Firstly, kudos to you for identifying a gap in the system and actively pursuing a way to bridge it. As entrepreneurs, we’re always searching for meaningful problems to solve, and a platform that could streamline that process certainly seems like it could have potential.
The features you’ve outlined sound intriguing, especially the forum for idea discussion and pitching. Being able to obtain immediate feedback on a conceived solution could greatly speed up the refinement process.
With such a platform, there could be potential issues with intellectual property and competition, but I believe that with the right structure and user agreements, such issues could be mitigated.

My (and other ADHD founders ) problem is I have too many Ideas and not enough ways to quickly validate them. The one way people suggest is creating landing pages and email signups before building the product, but I don’t think that is valid anymore. Why would anyone signup and wait, instead they would just google and get a competitor which exists already.
If there is a way to tackle this in variety of sectors, it would be really helpful.

How are you planning to find potential users and help validate Ideas?
Funny, I was thinking of doing something similar to this.
Mine was just going to be giving them the idea, though.
Collaboration with the user, then ideation on their behalf.
Love the idea, would definitely use a platform like that for brainstorming startup ideas.

Something like this will be of a massive help to me. If you build it, I would love to try it out, even if its not completed I could test it out.
I get ideas and do basic research about them all of the time and I feel like something like the platform you are describing will hugely assist in the process.
