Over the weekend, my mom was in her parked car and was suddenly dinked in the rear by another car. The damage wasn’t anything major, but the other lady gave her license info anyway. She doesn’t have insurance and it seems that her car hasn’t been registered since 2013… We’ve been going back and forth if it’s worth contacting AAA over such a small damage. I mean the other lady didn’t handle it so great as she was trying to gaslight my mom- just because the damage was “small” doesn’t override the fact that you just hit a car not knowing another person was in it… lol.

On top of this, they work at the same large company. My mom overheard from another department that this lady was going crazy telling everyone how someone made such a big deal over her little accident. Ofc, she was able to connect the dots and realize it was her situation. They don’t even know each other but they eventually crossed paths at work the same day. I guess, I’m more hesitant to avoid weird tensions at work for my mom but I also think that lady should have some sort of consequence. What are everyone’s thoughts?
