quoting a new vehicle

hey all,

i got into an accident a while ago, and everything has been settled. it's been my only accident ever. i decided not to go through w/ insurance and pay myself (it was a hit and run into me, causing me to hit another car's side mirror. it'd be expensive long term to pursue legal action and go through insurance, so i just paid for the damages since they were minor).

i'm quoting a new vehicle since i'm selling my current, and it asks whether/not i've been in an accident before. even though there were no police at the scene, no injuries, and everything w/ insurance has been dealt with, i still have to state i've been in an accident, right?

im 99% sure it'd be insurance fraud if i didn't say i was in an accident, but 1% of me says "well, do i???" wanted to make sure before i insured this vehicle.
