Hello everyone,

Can you please help me? I'm a IBKR customer and I received a liquidity warning today that I can't understand at all! This is the message:

    Liquidation Warning for Uxxxxxxxx
Following violation(s) have been detected for you account Uxxxxxxxx: – Negative Equity Protection: URGENT: Please note that your qualifying equity for Futures positions under by BaFin Futures regulations (Cash dedicated to Futures trading plus unrealized Futures P&L) is insufficient to prevent liquidations. You can restore compliance by closing positions. If you do not do so in a timely manner, or should your equity deteriorate further, liquidation of positions may commence without further notice.

These are my account stats according to IBKR:
    – NLV 50k
    – Main. Margin 17k
    – Excess Liq 34k
    – Leverage 0.65
    – Unr. P/L -3k
    – Cash EUR 18k
    – Cash USD 4k

Since the report mentions furures, I only have the following futures contract to hedge currency risks:

    2x MES JUN2024 with unr. P/L of -100$

What is this about? Can you please help me? If you need any additional information please say so!

    Many thanks in advance!
