How is this popular storm chaser consistently renting cars, intentionally driving them into dangerous storms, then returning them extremely damaged and not going bankrupt?

Does rental insurance cover intentional damage? He consistently has videos and live streams with titles such as “chasing gorilla hail” so the argument that it’s not intentional is very weak. I know very little about insurance, but I can’t imagine damage waivers cover intentional damage, right?

If he’s renting them from major companies, they’re pretty explicit about what is (more so what isn’t) covered in their loss damage waivers
Eventually, a rental company may choose to no longer rent to him, but as long as he buys the waiver (which is NOT insurance, important distinction) and follows the terms, he can probably get away with this for a while lol

I’ve seen car enthusiasts get banned from rental companies before for abusing vehicles. This person is flying under their radar at the moment and will eventually ban them.
