Car 1 in front me suddenly break, I break and don’t hit the car. The 3 ed car behind me rearends me and I hit the car in front, I am cad 2 between both. What is my liability ?
unless you’re in ontario, canada, your insurer would find you to be 0% at fault for either impact (if you happen to be in ontario and were not at a complete stop before the vehicle behind pushed you into the one in front, you’d be 50% at fault for the frontal impact)
that’s contingent on the person in front of you agreeing that they only felt one impact of course, and if the person in back doesn’t corroborate your story, it’s possible that his insurer would find you to be at fault for the impact with the vehicle in front
