My partner was shopping for new insurance with my help today and noticed that Progressive reported two accidents on her personal record. Both back in 2021. Her Ex-husband had put a policy (motorcycle) in her name and two accidents (one major, not at fault and one minor, not at fault) show up on her record but he collected a payout from both accidents. I called and spoke to Progressive and got a reference number to receive a complete report from LexisNexis (third party provider of driving records) including the police report.

Should we try and contact Liberty Mutual?

Possibly report insurance fraud as she never drove the vehicle let alone learned to ride a motorcycle?

Speak with LexisNexis to clear her record?

For more information, her divorce was finalized in October 2021, but the major accident with a $200k payout occured November 2021.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    What should we do?

Dispute it with lexis nexis. Provide the documentation, including the date the divorce was finalized.
