I'm getting U-Box to ship up to my new house but I don't think they weigh their pods at all. So do I just weight my truck empty, then tow the box and weigh again?

As long as you don’t have the weight of the box included.
Most of those companies will weigh the box and provide a weight ticket if you let them know you need it. Why are you hauling the box?
