I just got started as a State Farm agent. I just finished up with my training and my first three weeks of getting acquainted with the system and following up leads. I’m wondering if anybody has any advice on how to utilize the State Farm system. Anybody have any advice on the best way of being productive, making sales. For about the last four years I’ve worked selling cars wholesale buying cars from auctions, dealer trade ins etc. and then selling them to my “usual” customers mostly local dealerships, carhop and other people. I needed a break from that so I took a good friend up on an offer to work for him at State Farm. So far I like the product I’m selling and I’m just getting comfortable with the product I’m selling but im finding it difficult even getting a hold of customers. I know this is my first time cold calling leads n I’m wondering if anybody has any advice on how to be the most productive with this style and maybe how to to utilize the State Farm system and software. My Boss n buddy since kindergarten is great but also very busy but I’d like to be able to help build his book, make some sales, have some happy customers n maybe earn a vacation or two with State Farm. I tried looking online but sometimes it’s tough shuffling through motivational speakers so any advice would be greatly appreciated! – Thank you in advance – Lou

Get someone more experienced to roleplay calls with so you can practice. Start early to build good habits. Most of the videos and training you’ll watch is fine, but you need to be practicing
