So I abandoned it. Liberty Mutual charged me $24 for a cancellation fee- their app was a hassle to navigate so I tried calling, couldn’t get to a human. I now received a collections letter in the mail, saying I have until 6/24 to dispute it. I’m 19 and live on my own- want to buy a house in the next year. If I pay the 24 bucks before the deadline to dispute it, is it going to still ding my credit? Or should I try to dispute it, since it was under the wrong address. Sorry if this is the wrong place, please point me to the right place if so.

Had a renters insurance policy for the wrong address
