I'm currently 18 and active duty, I am looking around at different credit cards to start building credit but there is so many options I'm lost. Any help from people already established with credit?

Get a card you’re going to keep for life, which for me would be a no cost low frills Visa.

If you’re a NFCU member, their cash back rewards card, the green one is excellent and one to keep for life. 1.75% cash back if you have direct deposit with NFCU, 1.5% without it.

I’d say get a chase freedom unlimited. They offer 1.5% back and their app is great. And if you start saving points now, by the time you build up your credit to get one of their bigger cards, you’ll have a head start on points to transfer to the card (their points economy between chase cards is awesome) to cut down the cost of your vacation.

If you have Navy Federal their Cash Reward Card is good. Discover It is a solid starter up card as well.
