Hi All – making a move from Texas to NY State. Have two cars (2017 Toyota Sedan and 2022 Mazda SUV). We just got married so combining into one policy as well. I have been a customer of progressive for quite some time now – gotten one minor at fault collision (<2000) and one moving violation. My wife has gotten one at fault collision (<1000). I had my policy with Progressive and her with State Farm. Both are 29. We got very different quotes so not sure which one to go with.
All have same coverage 100/300 Spousal, 50k PD, 50k PIP, OBEL, 100/300 for under/unisured. 500 deductible on collision/comprehensive.

Progressive – almost 510 monthly premium (6 month)

    Erie – 395 monthly premium ( 1 year)

    Geico – 268 monthly premium (6 month)

I have read great things about Erie and generally had a good time with Progressive (not that I’ve had to use them much). I am reading bad reviews about current state of Geico. Any thoughts on why big price difference? I am leaning towards Erie but just want to make sure price increase is justified.

    1. Not sure about the carriers, but if you can afford to take more risk, look at a higher comp/coll deductible for savings.
