Looking to buy our second property with my remaining benefit. Curious what people are getting for rates, from where, and who they like as their lender.

Used Veterans United the first time and it was alright, no complaints really. Not sure if I should try Navy Federal since it's my preferred credit union, or if there's pros/cons based on your experiences.

VA loan rates and preferred lenders right now?

Get quotes from both of them make them compete against each other. Broker rates on VA are great as well.

Veterans United was super easy for me to use as well, however after the fact I’ve learned that they typically don’t provide the most competitive rates. I had a friend who was buying a house the same time using the VA loan and went to a local bank that did VA loans and got a rate about .8 less than mine

    3. Each of the major VA lenders have their pros and cons, with things that they specialize in. If you’re going off of pure volume, no one does more VA purchase loans than Veterans United.

Check out some of the lists that are out there, and then comparison shop at least three lenders to get the best deal.
