I just recently had a tree fall on my truck in my driveway. It messed it up pretty good on the roof of the cab. I only have 6700 miles on it and I’m worried about the value being diminished down the road and not being able to sell it for what it’s worth (if it wasn’t damaged). It’s my understanding that this will go on carfax and it will be reported as being “repaired”. Any thoughts on things to do or not do to not lose my ass on this truck with insurance?

Unless the tree belongs to your neighbor AND it was diseased/damaged AND they knew it and took no action, they wouldn’t be liable. I preface with that because if they aren’t liable or if the tree was yours, you’ll have to file on your own insurance if you have comprehensive on your policy. Unless you’re in GA, you can’t collect DV from your own policy for this.
