if you haven’t been hacked is literally just go and join this community because they’ll do more to educate you than basically anyone else out there at present so have a look here scales. bab click on this link get protected now then you have to jump into Discord and you have to do a little quiz which I can’t show you cuz I’ve already done it and that will give you the basics which I’ve covered many times in videos but at the end you end up getting some scales tokens so if we click here I’ve got no scales to actually get but I’ve already received some scales this has been started by some prominent community members especially people really really active in the dup ecosystem and it’s very worthwhile but now let’s go through an unfortunate situation let’s say you jump into a telegram or Discord or something you have a question maybe about Camino meteor dupe drift any of these and then some scammer sees an opportunity to pull you into DMS or to send you somewhere else in order to help you as an example and I have blurred out the website but basically if we go connect wallet here it will take us to this fake thing this is where they want you to go and input your wallet so as an example maybe we can see Soul flare here we’ click on Soul flare with the goal of connecting our wallet in order to fix something we’re going to see some scam pop up like this it’s going to say try again or connect manually then we’ll go connect manually and then this is where it asks for your 12 or 24 words this is your secret recovery phrase I’ve covered this so many times you never ever put your secret recovery phrase into a website never never never but let’s say unfortunately you do as soon as you put it in there the scammers will start to drain you so let’s have a look at this unfortunate recent victim this is his public address he has been drained all he has right now is some gummy they haven’t drained this gummy for whatever reason I’ve covered this in another tutorial but if we click on accounts we can actually close some accounts over here and we can gain back some rent and then if we scroll on down there may be some valuable nfts but basically most of these nfts have no value but unless they compressed nfts we could probably go and burn them at Soul incinerator which I’ve covered in another tutorial and claim back some soul as well and if we have a look at sonar. watch we can also see that this account actually has some points it’s got some points that are connected directly to them Camino points maybe some drift points dbridge sanctum parcel Etc there are some points here so the points with Cino and the points with sanctum what people are going to want to do is they’re going to want to transfer them to another wallet so they’re going to go and speak to the communo teams or the sanctum teams and they’re going to ask for this to happen the team will 99% of the time say we can’t do it it’s too hard it’s impossible Etc the person that’s just been scammed is going to be upset they’re then going to think the team is being difficult or something the reality is unfortunately it is too much work there’s also no way to prove if you are the scammer or the person scamming so what you need to do unfortunately is reset you’ve made a mistake it’s been a terrible mistake go speak to a friend if you’ve lost a lot of money if you need some sort of emotional support but you need to start fresh and then when this token allocation actually goes live and you can claim it you need to set a reminder and you need to try and get in there as fast as you can and then pull the tokens out and move them to another wallet address because most of the time the scammers you’re up against are not technically gifted they’re just good at taking advantage of people so they may not even check this but unfortunately because I’ve done this video they’ll start to codon on so what do you do moving forward well you need to rescue any assets so go over to j. a click on this little icon up here click welcome to salana then click get started and let’s go and get two wallets you’re most likely using Phantom so let’s click on this one and then personally I like Soul flare I encourage you to use Soul flare click on Soul flare and we’re install these two wallets of course you’re already going to have one installed most likely it will be Phantom but it may be sofl ADD extension and we go with Phantom we’ll download this one as well and we’ll ADD extension here as well add to Brave and ADD extension if you are using Phantom and you don’t want to switch the sof lay that’s fine that’s your choice I would encourage switching or if you have sof Flay and you’re breaching sof Flay you need to switch to a new self flare then what you need to do is use two different browsers either use two different browsers or two different browser profiles so this is both in Brave we can see this sof Flay over here and we’re installing sof Flay over here we can basically transfer any assets to this new public address so I’ve just gone ahead and I’m setting up my soulare wallet these words here there going to be no crypto in here it’s just used for a tutorial I’m inputting these words into this website which is basically what I said not to do the difference is it’s not actually going into this website it’s going into this Chrome extension but instead of it being a popup over here it’s just going into this website version of this Chrome extension so we’ll go like this I’ll then go and paste it continue put in a difficult password continue and we’re good to go now what we can do is we can pin both of these like this then I can make this big like this and with Phantom I can see it like this okay so I’ve moved 100 Bonk in here now of course we can’t move this Bonk out unless we have some salana so often when a scammer attacks a wallet they don’t set up any Bots or scripts in order to Auto drain it so most of the time it is safe to send more soul to extract any of the assets you may want to grab as an example you may have some crypto assets staked somewhere and maybe they don’t show up in step. finance or sonar. watch so what I’m going to do is I’m going to fund this new address here so I’ll go and copy this one I know that this public seed phrase is safe the reason why I’m pretty sure on this is because we took our seed phrase our secret recovery phrase and we put it in into a website we didn’t download any software there is always a slim chance that a bad website will be able to Auto download something onto your computer but that is very rare I’ve heard of it happening but I’ve never actually seen it happen and I think currently in 2024 with the level of scammers that we have they do not have any JavaScript which will download some troan having said that don’t go to random websites in my opinion so we’ve got our new address here and of course we’ve probably gone to a centralized exchange such as binance buybit Etc and we’re going to go and we’re going to fund it so maybe we’re funding it with whatever one Soul as an example so I’m going to send this let’s pretend it’s coming from a centralized exchange it will come into this wallet here we have our one soul we’ll open up our Phantom we’ll go and copy this address here then we’ll go and send and maybe we do something small like 0.01 we don’t actually need much we’re going to paste it in here we’ll send and we’ll confirm then this is going to come in here and then it’s just a Race Against Time most of the time the scammers will not be watching the address of course so we’ll come back here we’ll copy this we haven’t sent very much then we’ll go to our Bonk we will send our Bonk we’ll paste it Max next and send and now we have less Soul if we have quite a few nfts that we need to send we may need more Soul because there what’s called a rent account that’s covered in another video linked above now at this stage we can just send the soul straight back here if we want or we can use something like step. Finance or Soul incinerator to close the rent we’ll do that quick L we’ll use step. Finance we’re going to be connecting the Phantom wallet and then we’ll connect again and here we can see we can close this one account we’ll close it we’ll get back the small amount of Soul that’s going to go into our wallet we’ll go back to Soul flare we’ll copy this address we’ll go back to Phantom we’ll double check that we’ve got no nfts that we want to rescue and then we’ll click on salana we’ll send it past the address Max next and send now this wallet is empty and we just have everything sitting here that is how I would rescue any that needed to be rescued so as an example with this wallet which was hacked there’s still $30 worth of gummy and the scammer hasn’t taken it so I would try and recover this and then as you can see they did not close the accounts so yes there’s only $2.50 worth of soul but I would still try and take this as well I know it hurts because you may have lost hundreds or thousands of dollars and it’s unfortunate thing to have to learn I would much rather everyone just learn this from watching this tutorial and never ever get hacked now as I mentioned I prefer Soul flare so that’s what I use if you want to keep on using Phantom it’s entirely up to you there’s nothing wrong with the wallet I just prefer to use S flare go down to the settings Cog if you like then security and privacy and you can reset the app this removes all of the existing accounts so continue and now you can create a new wallet or import an existing wallet if you wanted to still make sure that you save somewhere the secret recovery phrase that was actually breached just label it in your your records as breached account maybe a few notes that way in the future you can try and rescue any points via token allocation if you get in fast enough now unfortunately if you breached by downloading something onto your computer you’ll likely have aosion and that troan will be able to access your data in the future so I can’t give you a step-by-step guide here but basically get an external hard drive recover any files that you know are legitimate like photos and documents and things like that then you need to go to YouTube and you need to learn how to zero out your hard drive you basically need to take out all the data and replace every single bit of data with a zero and then you have to reinstall and go through everything like that or you can use a computer shop or potentially you can even go and get a brand new SSD also once you’re hacked you’ll quite often have another scam team reach out to you they’ll find out that you’re hacked and they’ll offer some sort of recovery service this will normally be scammers once again they be trying to extract more money from you in order to help you recover your funds as you’ll learn in Scales recovery of funds is almost n impossible and personally I wouldn’t hold any hope so don’t pay any teams to go and recover them and you can try and get the police involved but you’re not actually going to find any help your unfortunate best thing is just to start again learn from your lessons hustle make it all back with patience not with one trade and stay upbeat stay happy stay motivated and use your friends if you need to speak to someone in real life that’s all for this guide I hope you never have to use it
