I’m getting married soon me and my fiancé are both AD marines and was wondering if you get back pay from the day you move out of the barracks? If we get married and then move out of the barracks but haven’t received the marriage certificate yet will we still get back payed bah once we turn in the marriage certificate since the lease started before we turned in the certificate

You will be back payed to the date on the marriage certificate (the day you said I do). That being said, once you do turn it in, it’s still going to take a minute to process . I usually advise dudes to stay in the barracks until the BAH catches up, and then You have all the back pay to help with a security deposit .
