If you have American Family for your auto insurance, you already know they switched up the safe driving programs recently (going from KnowYourDrive to MyAmFamDrive/DriveMyWay). I've been enrolled in the MyAmFamDrive since I got the invitation in April, and I have some general frustrations about it. To begin, let me share with you my current Two-Week Trends:

    • Phone Use: 100
    • Speeding: 100
    • Hard Braking: 96

Yet, my Overall score is 88. How does it make sense that my Overall score is somehow lower than all my other KPIs? It shouldn't. That prompted me to do some research, and finally found some interesting information in the app's FAQs. Appearently, things like trip distances and late-night driving also affect your Overall score. But here's my thoughts on that

    • By how much does criteria like late-night driving affect my score?
    • Why aren't these factors more accessible/visible in the app, like phone use and speeding are?

Just curious to see anybody else's thoughts on this. I think a lot more transparency on the part of American Family would go a long way (but I'm sure that's all by design). On another note, I think I saw something else on here earlier that somebody has all perfect KPIs, yet their Overall score was around 60. So I know I'm not the only one that's also seeing the flaws of this.
