How much should I put towards my emergency fund being in the military, with a wife, a son and a baby in the way?
I’ve heard I should have 3-6 months of expenses but what would that be? Should I also count 3-6 months of rent if I get BAH? How do you guys usually calculate what your expenses are?

How much do you need to get by every month? Rent, food, gas, utilities, internet, baby stuff etc and a little cushion. Between 3-6 months is up to you.
