Any advice??

I am 24, and covered under my mom’s health insurance and have been for the last two years. My husband added me to his health insurance this year. I wanted and expected my husbands to be the primary, that way when the baby is here, we are only paying one deductible. When I started having doctors visits for this pregnancy I noticed they were only being charged to my moms insurance.* I should add that I am now no contact with my mom, I haven’t spoken to her since the end of December* I asked the lady at the front desk of the hospital to remove my moms and make my husbands primary, she told me she couldn’t because my moms was still active, but she told me she made my husbands primary..(this was like, 4 months ago). Every bill since then has still only been charged to my mom’s insurance.
Then my husband got a new job. And now he has new insurance. (This was at the beginning of May) I called billing department and told them about the change and they told me they updated it and removed my moms and now it’s just my husbands. I had a doctors appointment today and tried to confirm with the front desk that the insurance was updated and it was not 😞
I asked her to remove my moms and my husbands old insurance and add only his new insurance. She told me once again that since my mom’s is active, she can’t remove it. Then I asked her to at least make my husbands the primary, that way all the bills go to his first. She told me she can’t because my mom is older than my husband lol she said it’s the “birthday rule” in insurance. But upon looking further into that, it seems it only applies to the month and the day, but not the year, in that case, my husband would come first. Further more, it doesn’t even seem to apply to me as I am not a child of divorced parents. What do I do? I called my mom’s insurance and tried to have them remove me today and they told me I have to contact HR at her work to be removed. I don’t think they will remove me without her permission. And I really don’t want to reach out to her for anything. Thank you if you read through all of that 🥺

    Please help!!
