Live in Colorado. We have a new car and have full comprehensive/collision coverage. My spouse and I drive very little – maybe 30mins a day locally. We have WFH tech jobs with good health insurance. Would there be any benefit for us to have UIM coverage?

    Colorado UIM?

That’s a decision only you can make but UM/UIM includes coverage for things that your health insurance does not. Lost wages, pain and suffering etc.

    2. Don’t risk it IMO. My wife works .5 miles away and I drive 2 miles to a train station to go to work a few times a week. Rest is local stuff and we both travel combined 10k a year. Anything can happen and will suck if you don’t have that coverage. I personally have 500k/1M UIM and UM. Out of pocket medical expenses- deductibles/copays add up and if major dhit happens, short term disability can go only go so far.
