      If you’re in a state that you can do defensive driving to have the ticket removed do that.

    2. Appeal the ticket.

      If it’s finalized, keep your head down and hope they don’t run MVRs before renewal.

      That’s pretty much it.

    3. You won’t keep it at your current rate no matter what you do. It’s going to go up. Having a ticket will make that increase work. If there is a program where you can take classes and have the ticket removed, that’s the best bet.
