I appreciate any suggestions.
I got a new car, and received a ticket it in after not having one for 8+ years. I just switched insurance carriers but would like to avoid an increase at renewal. What is the best thing I can do at court to keep my insurance at its current rate?

not getting convicted lol
If you’re in a state that you can do defensive driving to have the ticket removed do that.
Appeal the ticket.
If it’s finalized, keep your head down and hope they don’t run MVRs before renewal.
That’s pretty much it.
What state are you in?
You won’t keep it at your current rate no matter what you do. It’s going to go up. Having a ticket will make that increase work. If there is a program where you can take classes and have the ticket removed, that’s the best bet.
