Buddy, Germany is half the size of Texas. It’s not 1/4 the size of the US…

Edit: OP edited the post to correct.

    2. Dude Germany is the size of Washington state, its absolutely tiny by American standards. 20 years ago they had actually been trying to privatize Deutsche Bahn along with DHL, T-Mobile and other companies but then it just never happened..

    3. Germany has like 25k miles of rail with half of it electrified. Which is impressive considering it’s half the size of Texas.

I don’t think the same productivity can be expected for a while. But I like trains so hope you are right 👍

You are sadly mistaken if you believe the train experience in Germany is the same as Amtrak ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)

      Revenue means nothing without profit.

Deutsche Bahn has outstanding debts of €34B. It’s currently gathering bids to sell its logistics arm DB Schenker which is expected to be in the range of €12B to €15B.

This absolute piece of trash shouldn’t generate any revenue, those goddamn trains are always late if they don’t just get straight up cancelled (10 minutes AFTER they are scheduled to arrive of course), the employees have no idea how to do their job (good luck getting any information form the information booth) and are still always pissy.

I hate nothing more on this whole planet than the DB and anyone who either lives in germany or has ever visited without a car will tell you the same.

If this trash makes any revenue I guess I can tell you how they do it, they must invest fuck-all into their infrastructure, equipment or employees and just keep all the money instead.
