Recently got an insurance quote for my 2009 Honda fit and it came out to over 100 dollars . At the same time , my older brother got a quote under the same car insurance for his 2014 Chevy Camaro and his came out to only 80 dollars . Both opted for basic liability , but I’m puzzled as to why he received a much cheaper quote under pretty much the same circumstances ( over the age 20, similar commute and mileage , etc. )

Why is my insurance quote higher than?

    1. Different ages, different addresses, different vehicles, different repair costs, different driving history, different claims history, different likelihood of filing a claim, different discount eligibility, different company of placement, different years of driving experience, different usage, etc

Take your pick. Unless your everything on your policy is 100% identical to his (and you’re also him instead of you), the prices will be different

Is your brother over 25? I assume he’s been driving for longer than you have, in any case.
